TURTLEGUILDBook of the guild
Chapter one
A letter still sealed
For years, Wendel Moss sorted letters for the crown. The crown read every letter and kept every door.
One winter, a letter came with his own name on it. He never handed it in. He put on his blue coat, kept the letter close and walked out before the gates were locked. The scar is from those gates.
Others left the old order with him, and they became a guild. They carried out a few relics: keys, quills and letters still sealed. The guild keeps a roll of names. Wendel has never opened his letter. He says some words are safer kept whole.
TURTLEGUILD gathers turtles sworn to houses such as outlaws, friars, nobles, scholars, craftsmen, explorers, merchants and wardens. Hoods, crowns, keys, sealed letters.
